The Skyhoundz website is the best source for the most current version of Skyhoundz rules as it is a dynamic and easily updatable source of information. Rules and formats do change from time-to-time and competitors and Organizers are encouraged to review the Skyhoundz rules prior to any competition. In order to allow competitors enough time to make scheduling and traveling arrangements, Competition Hosts must register to conduct events with Skyhoundz a minimum of 30 days in advance.

Skyhoundz Local Championships are free events, open to all competitors regardless of experience, and held in many cities, states, and countries. You are welcome to enter as many Skyhoundz Local Championships as you like. All Skyhoundz Local Championships consist of either:. Contact the local host to verify the competition format. Skyhoundz Local Championships are standalone events with winners, but the winners do not advance to any further competition. Only one Skyhoundz State Championship is permitted per State. In other words, a team that does not score any points, or make a qualifiying catch e.
They must specify, in advance of the competition start with the contest host, that they are auditing the competition. Competitors may not change their entry to audit status after the competition begins. Competitors who audit the competition will not affect any Qualifier slots. Although the standard minimum cut size at Skyhoundz Classic Qualifiers is six. If a competitor earns more than two invitations at a Qualifier, they will have to specify, prior to any awards presentation, which two qualifying invitations they are accepting and, once said choice is made, the remaining qualifying invitation s will roll down to the next team.
If there is not a remaining team to roll down to, that invitation will simply expire and not be awarded. This rule change was made to ensure that no Qualifier is dominated by any one human competitor such that entries from a diversity of teams are discouraged and so that our Skyhoundz host organizations do not suffer economic harm as a result of diminished attendance at their events.
